Have you ever thought about working in a restaurant kitchen, learning about food and ingredients and how to put dishes together in the faced-paced environment of a busy restaurant? If you are interested in food, if you like the idea of working in a team of chefs, if you want to have the opportunity of climbing the chef career ladder and learning about what it takes to be in charge of a busy restaurant kitchen, then we are offering you an opportunity to do all of this. The trainee role is about learning to be a chef for those passionate about food and it's a full-time job.

Maybe you've worked in a fast food chain, in a cafe, perhaps you've never worked in a kitchen at all you want to get serious about food and cooking. The Bistrotheque kitchen team is small and the kitchen is open plan so you can see the whole restaurant while you work and learn.

We are open open for dinner Monday to Friday and for brunch and dinner over the weekend. Like most hospitality jobs this role includes evening and weekend work and some evenings you may finish late. We are 5 minutes walk from Cambridge Heath overground station and 8 minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube. Hackney is a quick bus trip away.

For the right people there is lots to learn and a sense of satisfaction in seeing your work contribute to the success of the kitchen team. If you would like to talk to our Head Chef Blaine about the position and visit us for a trial shift, please apply now.
